Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work on a 25-bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
* Night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every 3rd Friday and Saturday required, plus an additional Friday or Saturday each schedule
* Holiday coverage needed for Halloween, Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas night
* Work with equipment including EKG machines, Hoyer Lift, and LifePak
* Utilize Meditech EMR system
* Telemetry experience and ability to read EKGs required
* Must be able to handle a fast-paced unit with frequent admissions, discharges, transfers, and procedures
* Perform procedures including peritoneal dialysis and EKGs; most cardiac procedures handled in the Cath Lab
* Set priorities and modify patient care in response to changing conditions using problem solving skills and good judgment
* Make appropriate and timely notifications to physicians on patient condition changes
* Floating to Med/Surg unit possible but low probability
* Navy scrubs required
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS

The unit operates with a structured staffing model including charge nurses, registered nurses, unit secretaries, and patient care technicians across day and night shifts. The hospital maintains specialized cardiac services with a dedicated Cath Lab to handle advanced cardiac procedures.
