Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend availability required
* No on-call responsibilities
* No floating required
* Care for patients including deliveries, circulating C-sections, antepartum patients, and newborn initial assessments
* Practice independently in a perinatal clinical setting, providing routine and complex care
* Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness
* Assess and address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
* Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
* Provide patient and family education, identifying issues and resources as needed
* AWHONN nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 for Pitocin induction or augmentation, 1:2 for cervical ripening, 1:2-3 for antepartum and triage, 1:1 for immediate postpartum (first 2 hours)
* Dress code: Navy blue or pink scrubs
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
* Perinatal RN Residency or recent experience in a perinatal setting preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS
* Current certification required from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM, AWHONN Intermediate FHM Instructor, AWHONN Advanced FHM Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
* RN license in state of employment or compact license required
