Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

* 48 hours guaranteed per week preferred
* Work in a 36-bed Telemetry unit in the main hospital building
* Patient ratios of 1:3 AM and 1:4 PM or 1:4 AM and 1:5 PM with patient care techs available
* Unit typically operates as total RN based care with no techs; unit secretaries scheduled 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Equipment used includes BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo Feeding Pumps
* Documentation system: Meditech
* Every 3rd weekend rotation required
* Rotating holiday schedule
* Float to MedSurg units as needed
* Perform bedside shift report, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds
* Typical procedures include central line and PICC line placement
* Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills required
* Management of vasoactive drips required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Dress code: Charcoal grey scrub tops with charcoal grey or black scrub bottoms; black or charcoal grey jackets with the option to order unit specific jackets

This facility is a Level 2 trauma center with Stroke Accreditation, STEMI Accreditation, and Certified Bariatric Center designations. The Telemetry unit has been recognized as a Unit of Distinction Honorable Mention and serves as a Designated Education Unit, reflecting its commitment to clinical excellence and staff development. The unit features new cardiac monitors allowing visual of cardiac rhythm in each room, providing a high-quality environment for patient care.
