RN - General

Job Details:

* Work 10-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, 4 days per week
* Full-time position
* 1-2 24-hour weekend call shifts required per week
* 1-2 on-call nights per week with charge duties as needed while on call
* Floating to other departments as needed
* Blocked scheduling not accommodated
* Hospital scrubs provided
* EMR system used: EPIC
* Required certifications: BLS Certification from AHA, ACLS Certification from AHA
* Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
* Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing required
* Obtain and record initial patient assessments and establish priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
* Reassess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring intervention
* Develop and implement individualized, measurable plans of care for patients
* Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of facts and patient outcome evaluations
* Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
* Implement and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs
* Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
* Delegate unit work assignments and coordinate team assignments based on patient and unit needs
* Participate in orientation of new staff and students on the unit
* Demonstrate effective communication and human relations skills to promote harmony and teamwork
