RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* 15-week contract for winter planning
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Must be comfortable with and have some exposure to postpartum care
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring
* Must be proficient in cervical exams, antepartum and labor management, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IVs, and Pitocin administration
* Must be able to circulate C-sections
* Baby catching/receiving skills required
* Must be proficient in APGAR scoring and breastfeeding knowledge
* Strongly preferred comfort with all aspects of postpartum care from transition to discharge for both mom and baby
* Scrub experience is a bonus; scrub trained RNs are occasionally used for sick call coverage
* No on-call responsibilities
* Teal scrubs are provided
* Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
* Facility has 20 total beds: 12 LD, 8 PP/AP (3 OB/ED rooms, 2 OR), and a 6-bed Level II NICU
* Multilingual skills, particularly Russian and Spanish, are preferred
* First-time travelers will be considered

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive Labor and Delivery unit with 20 total beds, including 12 Labor and Delivery beds, 8 Postpartum/Antepartum beds, 3 OB/ED rooms, 2 operating rooms, and a 6-bed Level II NICU. The facility provides full-spectrum obstetric care from labor through postpartum discharge for both mother and baby, with a nurse practitioner available on call to support staff.
