Cath Lab Tech
Job Details:
* Work day shifts Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM plus on-call responsibilities
* Weeknight call required 1-2 days per week with call hours from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every third weekend on call from Friday through Monday morning with 24-hour call coverage
* Every other holiday on call required
* 20-minute call response time required
* 2-hour callback minimum guaranteed
* Schedule posted 17 days prior for 6 weeks at a time
* Perform scrubbing and/or panning duties along with IV starts
* Average of 4 cases per day across 3 cath lab suites
* Common case types include Emergent Revascularization, LHC, RHC, ATK Peripheral Diagnostic/Interventional, Cardioversion, TEE, Devices, Pericardiocentesis, and Temporary Pacemaker
* Experience with IABP, Impella, Shockwave (preferred), Laser, IFR/FFR, IVUS, Rotapro, and 4-port manifold required
* Panning experience accepted; scrubbing experience preferred but not required
* IV start experience preferred but not required
* Float to Heart and Vascular Pre/Post as needed for helping hands
* One week of orientation including classroom and lab training provided
* Scrub colors/dress code provided by facility
* Bring your own lock for locker and hospital-designated shoes required
* Charting system: EPIC
* Equipment includes Philips Xper (Hemo), Siemens C-Arm, IABP, Impella, Shockwave, Laser, IFR/FFR, IVUS, Rotapro, and 4-quart manifold
* Required certifications: BLS, RCIS or ARRT (ARRT must be registered with NDMIRT)
* RCIS credentialed clinicians are not responsible for panning/activating fluoroscopy and do not need an ND License
* ARRT credentialed clinicians may be responsible for panning/activating fluoroscopy and must hold an active ND Rad Tech License
* Radiation badge must be supplied and in hand prior to start
* BSN not required
* Trauma Level 2, Acute Care setting

This acute care facility operates a well-equipped Cardiac Catheterization Lab with 3 dedicated suites, providing comprehensive cardiovascular care services. The department handles a wide range of cardiac procedures and maintains 24/7 intensivist physician coverage in-house. The facility utilizes advanced technology and equipment to support both diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular cases, with a dedicated charge nurse structure in place to support the clinical team.
