Opportunity:
Cath Lab Tech
Job Details:
* Variable shift, Monday through Friday
* 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
* On-call required 6-7 days per month, including one weekend per month
* Perform cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations using complex diagnostic imaging equipment
* Assist physicians with specialized interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab
* Operate equipment to produce digital images of designated body portions as ordered by physicians
* Position and instruct patients for examinations and perform specialized studies
* Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system during cardiac catheterization
* Start automatic injection of contrast medium into blood vessels and activate fluoroscope and motion picture camera during procedures
* Observe and monitor patient vitals including blood pressure, cardiac output, and respiration during imaging
* Provide patients with procedure explanations and clear discharge instructions
* Alert physician to any changes in patient responses during procedures
* CRT certification required
* Fluoroscopy certification required
* 1-2 years of Cath Lab experience required
* Current BLS certification required
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification preferred
* Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred
* Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology preferred
* Radiologic Tech (RT) license in state of practice required
