Job Details:

* 8-hour day shifts plus on-call responsibilities
* Cardiologist hours Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with on-call coverage from 4:00 PM to 7:00 AM and weekends 7:30 AM to 7:30 AM
* Minimum 10 weeknight shifts required
* Minimum 2 weekends required (1 IR and 1 Cardiac)
* Holiday call requirements apply
* On-call response time is 30 minutes
* Floating requirements apply daily and on-call as needed
* Scrub color/dress code: Surgical greens
* Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
* Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
* 1 week of department-specific orientation including on-call buddy call
* Pass/fail open book exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% required
* Perform intra-procedural circulating duties including supply management, medication administration, and sedation
* Work in a versatile lab that primarily performs IR with cardiac inpatient add-ons and is prepared for STEMIs, including treatment up to IABP to stabilize
* Facility operates 3 suites/labs with an average of 4-5 cases per day
* Common diagnoses include compression fractures, venous access, hydronephrosis, chest pain, pulmonary hypertension, shortness of breath, gastric ulcers, PE, and DVT
* Minimum 3 years of hospital-setting cardiac cath/IR experience required
* Charting systems: EPIC and Apollo cardiac charting
* Radiation badges provided by facility
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Facility:

This acute care facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering a comprehensive and versatile catheterization laboratory environment. The facility operates three suites and handles a diverse range of interventional radiology and cardiac procedures. The lab is fully equipped to handle high-acuity cases including STEMIs, with capabilities up to IABP stabilization, and is supported by a dedicated supervisor and a team of three cath lab technicians.
