Sterile Processing Supervisor

Job Details:

* Supervise and coordinate all resources and services of the Sterile Processing Department
* Manage administrative duties including human resources, hiring, coaching, training, scheduling, and payroll
* Oversee financial management, purchasing, regulatory compliance, and quality monitoring and improvement
* Develop and implement policies, procedures, training, and competencies for team members
* Maintain communications and relationships with Surgical Services, all departments and clinics
* Assist with planning, directing, organizing, monitoring, and staffing departmental services
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory agency and hospital requirements
* Continuously assess, measure, and improve departmental performance
* Ability to work varied shifts including beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, weekends, and after-hours shifts
* On-call work may be required
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
* Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCT) certification required
* CER - Certified Endoscope Reprocessor certification required
* Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience required
* Bachelor's Degree in science or related field preferred
* Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
* CIS - Certified Instrument Specialist preferred
* Minimum 2 years of healthcare experience in Surgical Services and/or Sterile Processing preferred
* Proficiency in standard office equipment and computer applications including MS Office, EMR, and internet applications required
* Strong leadership, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required
* Must be able to work in a busy and stressful environment
* Traveler must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered
