Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement
* Holidays rotate with permanent staff
* No on-call or standby requirement
* 1 shift (12-hour) unit/department specific orientation provided
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 in ICU (3:1 stretch) and 3:1 in PCU (4:1 stretch)
* Primary assignment to ICU with float potential to PCU and med/surg units within Region I
* Float may be required between regional facilities no more than 30 miles apart
* Commonly treat patients with COVID, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, sepsis, and DKA
* Required to titrate drips including sedation (propofol, versed, fentanyl, precedex), pressors (levophed, epinephrine, vasopressin, dopamine, dobutamine), diuretics, insulin, and amiodarone
* Experience with ventilated patients, cath lab recovery, and therapeutic hypothermia required
* Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
* Work with respiratory therapy equipment including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and high flow oxygen
* Charting system: EPIC
* No set scrub color; any professional colored scrubs permitted
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
* BSN not required
* Washington State license required

Facility:

This acute care facility features a 10-bed ICU and 21-bed PCU, providing comprehensive critical care services to the community. The unit is supported by intensivists on-site from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, hospitalists available 24 hours, and respiratory therapy staff around the clock. The facility utilizes centralized scheduling and maintains remote monitor technicians to support nursing staff in patient monitoring.
