Opportunity:

RN - Med/Tele

Job Details:

* 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Every other weekend required
* Holidays required
* No call or standby requirements
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week or 36/48 hours bi-weekly
* Scheduling is managed by the unit manager based on facility needs - block scheduling cannot be accommodated
* Patient ratios of 5-6:1 with PCTs present at a 12:1 ratio
* 25-bed unit focused on Med/Tele patients with common diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and general med/surg tele cases
* Required to read telemetry strips independently, though telemetry monitor techs are available to monitor patients
* Required to titrate Heparin drips; set rate drips also include Heparin
* Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow patients required
* Will float to all med/surg units and possibly to PCU to care for tele holds prior to transfer
* Charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators are available on the unit
* Department orientation consists of 2 shadow/orientation shifts in the Kurth tower med/surg tele unit
* Charting system is Paragon, transitioning to EPIC on October 30th, 2026
* Scrub color requirement: Navy blue
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS
* 18+ months of recent Med/Tele experience required
* Strong communication and time management skills required
* Rural hospital experience preferred
* Must be a team player comfortable working in a rural hospital environment with high traveler reliance
