Opportunity:

Ultrasound Technologist

Job Details:

* Evening shift Monday through Thursday from 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM (4x10 schedule)
* Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians
* Produce images of internal body tissues to diagnose and monitor conditions such as heart disease, pregnancy, and cancer
* Use ultrasound equipment to direct high-frequency sound waves to prescribed areas of the patient's body and capture quality images
* Summarize, document, verify, and present images, findings, calculations, and measurements to physicians for diagnoses
* Provide direct patient care including assessing patient condition and ability to cooperate
* Position patients and equipment, prepare patients for procedures, and continually monitor and record vital signs
* Observe for reactions and signs of impending complications and intervene as needed
* Maintain accurate records, files, and billing information
* Ensure integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to HIPAA and other patient confidentiality guidelines
* Supervise and mentor ultrasound personnel
* Maintain and verify operational status of equipment prior to daily use
* Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the field required
* Diploma or certificate from an Ultrasound college or school required
* Current BLS certification required
* ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB), or Vascular (RVT); or CCI Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI-RVS); or ARRT in Sonography (S) or Vascular Sonography (VS) required
