Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Work on a Med/Surg unit with 8 inpatient beds plus 8 admission unit beds, with the potential to flex up to 12 inpatient beds based on overall hospital census
* Maximum patient ratio of 6:1
* Rotating weekend schedule required
* Minimum 1 year of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year required
* 2+ years of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year preferred
* Background in orthopedics or neurosurgery preferred; Med/Surg/Telemetry background will be considered
* Must be comfortable caring for 4 to 6 patients at a time
* Perform standard nursing skills including IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, central line maintenance, medication administration, and EHR documentation
* Communicate effectively with all members of the care team
* EMR system: Meditech
* Floating to Med/Surg units may be required
* Scrubs required as dress code
* Ideal candidate is friendly, positive, patient-centered, and team-focused

This medical center operates a dedicated 2 West Med/Surg floor staffed with a collaborative team including charge nurses, registered nurses, and patient care assistants on both day and night shifts. The facility utilizes standard medical equipment and the Meditech EMR system, providing a well-structured environment focused on quality inpatient care. The unit maintains a strong commitment to patient-centered care and supports both experienced and specialized nursing professionals.
