Opportunity:
RN - ICU Neonatal (Level 2 NICU)
Job Details:
* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Full-time position
* Primary assignment in ICU Neonatal (Level 2 NICU) with potential float to mother/baby unit as needed
* Practice independently in clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations
* Provide routine and complex neonatal care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
* Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness
* Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
* Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
* Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
* Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations
* Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
* Minimum 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
* Perinatal RN Residency or recent experience in a Perinatal setting preferred
* Required certifications: STABLE (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants), BLS (AHA only), NRP
* RN License in state of TX or compact state required
