Open Position: RN - Mother Baby Postpartum

Opportunity:

RN - Postpartum

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Work on a 23-bed Postpartum/Mother-Baby unit (3 North, 3rd floor)
* Patient ratios of 3 or 4:1 (estimated, not guaranteed)
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 9-10 RNs on the floor, and 2-3 RNs in the nursery
* Primary computer system is CPN with EMR via Meditech/CPN
* Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage perineal care
* Educate parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding
* Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Postpartum/Mother-Baby experience required
* Experience in a Mother-Baby unit preferred
* Required certifications: BLS and NRP
* Must demonstrate flexibility with scheduling and ability to adapt quickly to new situations
* Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented personality preferred
* Strong communication skills with staff and providers is a priority

This facility is a well-established acute care hospital offering comprehensive maternal and newborn services. The Mother-Baby unit is staffed by approximately 80 experienced team members and operates with a structured care model supporting both postpartum mothers and newborns. The unit is equipped with modern technology to support clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.
