Opportunity:

RN - Med Tele

Job Details:

* 48 hours guaranteed per week preferred
* Work on a 25-bed Medical Telemetry unit serving primarily renal, urology, oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, and general med/surg patients
* Patient ratio of 4-5:1
* Schedule requires at least every 3rd weekend with 3 shifts per week
* Float capability to like units including Ortho, Neuro, CCU, CDU, SSU, Obs, and Rehab
* Unit is highly focused on safety, quality, and documentation compliance related to central lines, foleys, C-diff, and other HAIs
* Participate in Nurse Leader Rounds on every patient every day, including pre-rounds and post-rounds
* Support patient experience initiatives focused on Nurse Explain and Nurse Courtesy and Respect
* Monitor whiteboards, room tidiness, and safety and quality measures
* Perform basic medical/surgical procedures
* Utilize equipment including EKG, bladder scanner, sit-to-stand, Hoyer lift, hover mat, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis
* Document using Meditech EBCD system
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Basic Dysrhythmia
* Dress code: Royal blue scrub tops, royal blue or black pants, with grey, white, black, or royal blue undershirt

This facility is a certified healthcare organization holding designations as a Chest Pain Center, Primary Stroke Center, Colorectal Center of Excellence, Bariatric Center of Excellence, and Ortho Certified facility. The unit is well-known for robotic surgeries and is the only hospital in the region to feature a new urology robot. The team is supported by experienced charge nurses, clinical educators, and unit secretaries and techs, fostering a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment.
