Opportunity:
Clinical Dietitian
Job Details:
* Day shift working 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
* Must be able to function as an acute inpatient clinical dietitian
* Must have extensive experience working with Parenteral Nutrition
* Experience required in all clinical areas with ability to pass competencies within the first few days and function clinically independent
* Floating required as needed throughout the Kern County Network
* EPIC experience required
* Performs comprehensive nutritional assessments and reassessments of patients to determine those at nutritional risk
* Provides quality nutritional care through utilization of nutrition plans, facilitating appropriate meal patterns, monitoring nutritional intake, and initiating appropriate interventions
* Responsible for developing and documenting nutritional plans of care in accordance with policy and acceptable practice standards
* Administers medical nutrition therapy in a safe and accurate manner, including monitoring and documentation of patient response
* Provides patient and family education and interdisciplinary communication
* Acts as an educational resource for healthcare team personnel including dietetic interns, patients, and family members
* Bachelor's Degree in food and nutrition or equivalent required
* Master's Degree required if eligibility for examination began on or after 1/1/24
* Dietetic internship or equivalent required
* Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required within 6 months of completion of residency program
* Minimum two years of recent experience in the field required
* Current BLS certification required
