Open Position: RN - Mother Baby Postpartum

RN - Postpartum

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Assigned to the 3 North unit (Mom/Baby) within the main hospital
* Unit consists of 23 beds with approximately 80 staff members on the Mom/Baby unit
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 9-10 RNs on the floor, and 2-3 RNs in the nursery
* Patient ratios are 3 or 4:1 (estimated, not guaranteed)
* Primary computer system is CPN with EMR through Meditech/CPN
* Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage perineal care
* Educate parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding
* Minimum 1 year of current hospital Postpartum/Mother-Baby experience required
* Required certifications: BLS and NRP
* Experience in a Mother/Baby unit preferred
* Must demonstrate flexibility with scheduling and ability to adapt quickly to new situations
* Ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, and a team player with strong communication skills

The Mom/Baby unit is staffed with an experienced team of approximately 80 staff members dedicated to providing high-quality postpartum care. The unit is equipped with modern technology and systems to support both clinical staff and patient care needs.
