Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

* 48 hours guaranteed per week preferred
* Work on a 36-bed Telemetry unit in the main hospital building
* Patient ratios of 1:3 AM and 1:4 PM, or 1:4 AM and 1:5 PM with patient care techs available
* Unit is typically RN-based care with no techs; unit secretaries are scheduled 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Equipment includes BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo Feeding Pumps
* Documentation system: Meditech
* Every 3rd weekend rotation required
* Rotating holiday schedule
* Float to MedSurg units up to 1 time per week for PRN staff; FT/PT staff float on a rotation basis
* Perform bedside shift reports, hourly rounding, and daily leadership rounds
* Perform central line and PICC line placements
* Manage vasoactive drips with advanced assessment and critical thinking skills
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Dress code: Charcoal grey scrub tops with charcoal grey or black scrub bottoms; black or charcoal grey jackets with the option to order unit-specific jackets
* Positive attitude and desire to work as a member of a team is preferred

Facility:

This facility is a Level 2 trauma center with Stroke Accreditation, STEMI Accreditation, and Certified Bariatric Center designations. The Telemetry unit has been recognized as a Unit of Distinction Honorable Mention and operates as a Designated Education Unit. The facility features new cardiac monitors that allow visual display of cardiac rhythms in each patient room, supporting high-quality patient care and clinical excellence.
