Job Details:

* Day shift position working 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
* Schedule includes weekends and holidays
* C-section experience is required
* Minimum of two years recent experience in field required
* Current BLS certification required
* Facilitates physician performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures
* Handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures
* Ensures quality patient care during operative procedures
* Constantly monitors maintenance of the sterile field
* Verifies surgery to be performed with consent forms and brings patient to assigned operating room
* Passes instruments to surgeon during procedure and anticipates surgeon's needs for additional supplies
* Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to operation and before incision is closed
* Prepares and secures sterile dressings after incision closure
* Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedure
* Obtains appropriate sterile and unsterile items needed for procedure
* Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedure
* Assists with draping sterile field and cleaning and preparing instruments for terminal sterilization
* Assists other team members with room cleaning for turnover and prepping room for next patient
* Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology required
* National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certification preferred
* CPR or BLS certification from approved vendor preferred
