Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Every other holiday requirement
* Auto lunch deductions apply
* Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
* Patient ratio of 1 to 4
* Approximately 180-200 patient visits per day
* Patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics including trauma, neuro, ortho, and CVA cases
* 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psych
* Nurses responsible for own lab draws and IV starts
* Charge nurse position available on unit
* Nurse aides and paramedics available on shift (5-6 per shift)
* Security and patient sitters available; patients held in main ER until admitted
* Central monitoring tech and 24/7 respiratory therapist dedicated to ER
* Ventilator patients held in ER until admitted
* In-department pharmacy available 11 hours per day with 24/7 on-campus pharmacy support
* Charting system: Meditech 6.15
* Floor-specific orientation: 2 shifts, must be completed during week one
* Scrub color: Caribbean Blue only
* Minimum 5 years of experience required with at least 1 travel assignment
* Meditech experience required
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS or ASLS, CPI

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a high-volume emergency department seeing approximately 180-200 patients per day, serving a broad patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics. The facility is a designated CVA center and handles trauma, orthopedic, and neurological cases, with a dedicated behavioral health lockdown unit. The emergency department is supported by 24/7 respiratory therapy, on-campus pharmacy, central monitoring technicians, and robust nursing support staff including nurse aides and paramedics.
