Opportunity:
RN - MS-Tele Float
Job Details:
* Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* 6-9 weekend shifts required in a 6-week schedule
* May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
* Schedules are released 4-6 weeks in advance by leadership
* All time off requests must be submitted prior to starting assignment
* Rare on-call or standby requirement for low census situations
* Must float within Zone 3 (based around Denver City Center) which includes facilities in Lakewood, Longmont, and Westminster, CO - all within a 60-mile radius
* Facility assignment may be provided 1-2 hours before shift start via call (Just-In-Time scheduling)
* Float pool includes multiple units: General MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
* May be asked to float into other acuity levels including ICU (low acuity holds), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 based on acuity
* Nurse aids available on unit
* Designated charge nurse on each unit who typically does not take a patient assignment
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses including Cardiac, Neuro, Ortho, Oncology, Renal, Urology post-surgical, General Surgery, Gynecology, Psych/Detox, ENT, and General Medicine
* Required to titrate Heparin drips
* RT equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPap used on unit
* Charting system: EPIC
* 1-2 days of orientation with a preceptor
* Must reside at least 60 miles from each facility in Zone 3
* Minimum 2 years of MS-Tele experience required; prior neuro experience preferred
* Any color scrubs permitted
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS

The facilities offer a broad range of specialty services including orthopedics, cardiac care, neurosciences, oncology, and trauma, providing travelers with a dynamic and diverse clinical experience across multiple acute care settings.
