Opportunity:

RN - Orthopedics

Job Details:

* Work on J6 Orthopedics unit with 32 individual patient rooms
* Patient ratios: Day shift 5:1 (6:1 stretch), Night shift 6:1 (7:1 stretch)
* Day shift staffing: 1 charge RN, 6 RNs, 1-2 LPNs, 3 PCTs, & 1 HUC
* Night shift staffing: 1 charge RN, 5 RNs, 1-2 LPNs, 2 PCTs, & 1 HUC
* Work every other weekend
* Float to other Med-Surg units as needed
* Work with equipment including walkers, bedside commodes, bladder scanners, CPM, sky lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Lift, Maxi Move, vital sign machines, hover mats, bair huggers, and wheelchairs
* Use Cerner EMR system
* Perform typical procedures including dressing changes, suture/staple removal, Foley catheter insertion, NG tubes, wound vac maintenance and removal
* Must have North Carolina nursing license and BLS certification
* Hospital experience and orthopedic experience preferred
* Must be a team player with ability to adapt to fast-paced environment
* Dress code: Navy scrubs for RNs
