Opportunity:

RN - 3West Cardiac

Job Details:

* Work on a 30-bed Cardiac unit located on the 3rd floor of the main building
* Patient ratio of 5-6:1
* Unit staffing includes unit clerk on days, 2-3 PCTs day and night, Nursing Supervisor, and Hospitalists
* Scheduling requires equivalent of every other weekend (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule)
* Floating policy includes other M/S areas: general MS, Ortho, PCU, and M/S surgical with oncology on a rotation basis unless skill mix is needed
* Equipment used: Welch Allyn vitals neuron, Novameter glucose, Philips Telemetry, and MP2s
* Documentation system: Meditech-HCA version
* Medications managed via WOW with med drawers and PyxisES dispensing system
* Cardiac knowledge preferred
* Advanced knowledge of Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips required
* Procedures performed on unit include chest tube management, wound vac management, and EKGs
* Documentation of telemetry application, acknowledging rhythm strips, and placing in chart each shift required
* Patient experience requirements include bedside rounding and hourly rounding with 5P's checked
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
* Dress code: Navy scrubs for RNs, ceil blue scrub set for CNA/PCT; may wear white, blue, grey, or black t-shirt underneath with no graphics; no artificial or gel nails or gel nail polish
