Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Full-time work schedule
* Weekend requirement: 2 to 4 shifts per month, rotated between staff
* On-call requirement: 2 to 4 shifts per month, rotated between staff
* Will float to all Med/Surg departments
* Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6
* EMR system used: EPIC
* Dress code: Grey scrubs required
* Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
* BLS Certification via AHA required
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
* Minimum 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
* Provide routine and complex nursing care while practicing independently
* Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols and monitor for side effects
* Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given
* Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
* Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed
* Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
