Opportunity:
Medical Assistant - OBGYN
Job Details:
* 8-hour shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
* No weekend shifts required
* Floating required as needed between Beverly Hills, Los Feliz, and Playa Vista locations
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated
* Minimum 2 years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting required
* Minimum 1 year of OBGYN experience required (hard stop)
* Venipuncture experience required (hard stop)
* Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP accredited program required
* BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only)
* CMA certification required
* High school diploma or GED required
* Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Secondary OBGYN questionnaire required at time of submission
* 2 supervisor references from within the past 1 year of employment required
* Room patients and obtain vital signs and patient histories
* Perform blood and specimen collection
* Administer medications including immunizations and intramuscular injections
* Assist with OB visits, GYN consults, and OBGYN procedures including PAP, Colpo, LEEP, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions and removals, Nexplanon, and NST
* Address patient, physician, and staff concerns and escalate accordingly
* Provide assistance with QA measures including recording QC testing on designated equipment
* Monitor workflow to identify opportunities for improvement
* Participate in daily huddles and staff meetings
* Adhere to all infection prevention standards, department policies, and guidelines

This outpatient OBGYN facility operates with approximately 20 providers and focuses on women's reproductive health. The facility provides a comprehensive range of services including women's health care, OB visits, GYN consults, and OBGYN procedures.
