Job Details:

* Work in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team
* Plan and implement patient and family education
* Assess patient needs and initiate appropriate interventions
* Collect comprehensive data pertinent to patient health, analyze assessment data, and develop individualized plans of care
* Implement identified plans of care and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment
* Comply with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines related to care for patients with hyper acute and acute stroke
* Participate in four hours annually of stroke education
* Complete six hours of verifiable trauma-related education annually
* Work varied shifts including weekends and after-hours shifts
* On-call work may be required
* Position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek
* Facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances
* Must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered
* 1 year of emergency nursing or critical care experience required
* Current Montana Registered Nurse licensure required
* Required certifications: American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course certification, and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
