Open Position: PT - Physical Therapist

Hand Therapy PT or OT

Job Details:

* Work in an outpatient/rehabilitation clinic setting providing physical therapy services
* Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
* Implement patient rehabilitation programs to help improve mobility, function, and strength
* Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care
* Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries
* Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
* Responsible for accurate patient chart documentation including prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
* Be proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding for billing of services
* Familiar with PT billing policies and procedures including Medicare, work-comp, private, auto, liens, and cash pay
* Make independent decisions regarding patient care
* Work closely with front office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow-up
* Be involved in business marketing and referral process when necessary
* Must be physically mobile, including stool sitting, walking, and prolonged standing for 8-10 hour workdays
* Must be able to lift 50 pounds and assist patients with transfers, mobility, and walking safety
* Must hold an active Physical Therapist license in the state of California
* Degree in Physical Therapy required
* Continuing education courses preferred
* No travel expected for this position
