Surgical Technologist

Job Details:

* 5x8 day shift schedule with variable shift times: 7:00 AM?3:30 PM, 9:00 AM?5:30 PM, or 11:00 AM?7:30 PM
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; at least 1 year required for consideration
* On-call required, varies depending on need
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility; refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* Department runs all specialties including General, Urology, GYN, Orthopedics, Neuro, ENT, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Vascular, Robotics, and Cardiac
* Daily average surgical case volume: 15 cases across 6 rooms
* Patient age groups served: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics
* Pediatrics and Adolescent experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Proficiency with a wide range of surgical procedures required, including but not limited to: Laparoscopic assisted cases, Da Vinci Robotics, Orthopedic procedures (total hip/knee replacement, spinal fusion), Cardiovascular procedures (CABG, TAVR, CABG), Neurological procedures (craniotomy, laminectomy), Gynecologic procedures (C-section, hysterectomy, robotic GYN), Vascular procedures (carotid endarterectomy, endovascular aortic repair), and General surgery (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair)
* Preferred skills include: line insertions, airway management, assembly/wrap, and equipment documentation
* Instrument tray reprocessing experience preferred across specialties: General, OB/GYN, Plastic, ENT, Dental, Ophthalmology, Cardiovascular/Thoracic, Laparoscopic, Urology, Robotic, Ortho, Ortho/Totals, Neuro/Spine, Neuro/Crani, and Robotic-assisted Gynecological procedures
* Flexible endoscope reprocessing experience preferred with: Bronchoscopes, Colonoscopes, EGD Scopes, EBUS, EUS, Enteroscopes, ERCP Scopes, Fiber Optics, and Flex Sigmoidoscopes
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal process
* Two professional references required, covering 1 year (within the last 3 years), to be provided during the compliance process prior to start
