Job Details:
* Day shift position working 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with every other weekend requirement
* 12-hour shifts with varying start times including 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, and 7:00 PM
* Expected to work some holidays
* No on-call or standby requirements
* No floating requirements within the unit
* Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4
* One year of minimum experience required; preference given to travelers who have completed 1-2 prior assignments
* Behavioral health experience required
* Experience with common diagnoses including stroke, STEMI, sepsis, chest pain, psychosis, and behavioral health patients
* Experience with common drips including insulin, cardiac drips, sedation, and critical drips preferred
* Travelers may be utilized in a charge nurse role, particularly on night shifts, if willing
* Triage experience required if assigned to triage area
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Orientation consists of one 12-hour shift with an experienced ED RN
* Driver's license required at time of submittal
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
Facility:
This acute care emergency department operates as a STEMI receiving facility and comprehensive stroke center. The department features 17 beds with the ability to flex up to 22 with hallway beds, four designated psychiatric patient rooms, and 24/7 in-house security. The facility averages 66 patients per day and is supported by ED technicians, respiratory therapy on-call, Phillips telemetry monitors, and both X-ray and CT imaging within the department. The team is known for its strong culture of accountability, teamwork, and mutual respect across all roles.
