Opportunity:
RN - MS/Tele (Float)
Job Details:
* 36 or 48 hour shift options available
* Float position rotating between MS and Tele units
* Weekend shifts required with at least 6 weekend shifts every 6-week period
* No RTO within the first 2 weeks of the assignment
* Must be able to work 3 out of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated
* Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience required
* First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 3 years of experience and large facility experience (400 beds or larger)
* Active California RN license required at time of submission - no pending or temporary licenses accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
* Must pass an onsite EKG exam on the first day of orientation (one attempt allowed)
* Charting system: Epic experience required
* Must be comfortable caring for adult medical and surgical patient populations
* Key skills include cardiac telemetry, telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, central line care and management, IV management, heparin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and wound care
* Flu vaccination required - no exemptions
* 2 supervisor or above references from within the past year of employment required at time of submission

This large, well-established healthcare facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical care to adult patient populations. The facility offers robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The organization maintains high standards for nursing staff and utilizes Epic as its primary charting system.
