Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts in a 10-bed ICU/PCU overflow unit
* Every other weekend requirement with holiday support
* Patient ratios: 2:1 for ICU patients, 4-5:1 for PCU patients
* Day shift: 1 Charge RN and 5 Staff RNs; Night shift: 1 Charge RN and 5 Staff RNs
* Floating required to other units as needed
* Work with equipment including lift equipment, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), ventilators, and IV pumps
* Use Cerner documentation system
* Perform bedside shift reports (mandatory)
* Relief charge nurses expected to perform nurse leader rounding
* Assist providers with bedside procedures including chest tube insertions and intubations
* Medical ICU experience in large facility required
* Must be comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
* Advanced skills needed: ventilator management, critical care pharmacology (IV sedation, paralytics, vasopressors), advanced hemodynamic monitoring, central line management
* Must be a critical thinker, flexible, and work well with others
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Dress code: Navy blue or white scrubs
