Charge Nurse

Job Details:

* Assist the Director in achieving organizational and department-specific goals and objectives
* Work in a supportive manner as a Charge nurse, quality management coordinator, and unit resource
* Provide administrative backup support in the absence of the Director
* Coordinate and direct total nursing care for an assigned group of residents/patients during assigned shift
* Assume full responsibility for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident/patient care
* Participate in patient/resident and family teaching
* Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team members
* Maintain resident/patient privacy and confidentiality
* Must reside 50+ miles from facility to qualify for traveler rates
* Facility may cancel up to three shifts per 13-week assignment
* Associates degree required
* Minimum 3 years nursing experience required
* Active State of Maine or Compact RN license required
* BLS certification required
* Must follow established facility/unit and department policies, procedures and standards
