Job Details:

* Variable start times of 7:00 AM or 9:00 AM
* On-call required - call will be distributed equally amongst all nursing staff every 6 weeks, which could be up to 6-8 shifts in a 6-week period (including nights, evenings, and weekends/8 hours)
* May need to cover one night shift within the contract as needed
* Weekend availability required
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Locals accepted within 50-mile radius
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
* Required certification: BLS
* Trauma, neuro, vascular, and ortho experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Float required between Queen, Petaluma Valley, and Hillsberg facilities
* Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Daily census of approximately 25 cases
* Patient diagnoses include orthopedics (total joints and ortho trauma), neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, general, GU, and GYN
* Required skills include OR procedures such as trauma, ortho, general, vascular, neuro, plastics, and ENT
* Night shift is typically staffed with 2 people (1 RN/1 ST or 2 RNs), with no unit secretary on nights
* Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
* 40 orientation hours required
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* All RTO requests must be submitted at time of submission; post-submittal RTO may not be considered or granted
* Can only be submitted to 1 Providence facility at a time

This acute care hospital operates with 277 total staffed beds and provides a comprehensive range of surgical services including orthopedics, neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, general surgery, GU, and GYN procedures. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and offers free parking for staff. Interdisciplinary support services include respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and interpretation services, ensuring a well-rounded environment for patient care.
