RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Day shift hours from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
* Weekend availability required
* Holiday availability required
* 28-bed Medical/Surgical unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5
* 1 CNA per 10-14 patients available on unit
* No telemonitor techs on unit; telemonitor support provided from a centralized location in Arizona reachable via Ascom app on iPhone
* Ability to read telemetry strips preferred
* Charge nurse does not take a patient assignment
* Required to titrate Insulin and Heparin drips
* RT equipment includes CPAP and established BiPAPs only
* Common diagnoses include sepsis, COPD, bowel obstructions, CHF, and general medical patients
* Float requirement within Region I which includes facilities in Burien, WA; Seattle, WA; and Federal Way, WA
* First to float when not needed on unit
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Any professional colors
* BSN preferred but not required
* Minimum 2 years of related work experience preferred
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
* Washington state nursing license required
