Opportunity:
RN - Intermediate Care Unit
Job Details:
* Work 3x12 night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
* No on-call requirements
* Schedule varies based on department needs and can include weekends and holidays
* Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Eve + Day counts as 1 holiday)
* Required to pick up one additional shift during each 4-week schedule period
* May be required to float to other units up to competency level
* Provide care for 18-bed intermediate care unit focusing on severe but non-life-threatening conditions
* Care for patients with general medical disease processes including post ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory conditions
* Perform moderately complex assessments and moderately intensive therapies and interventions
* Must have experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management
* Required to pass an ECG/Telemetry exam including reading and interpreting rhythm strips - failure results in contract termination
* Provide comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families
* Minimum 2 years of IMC/Stepdown experience required
* Medical/Neuro ICU experience preferred
* Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required
* Nevada RN license required prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

This facility is an extremely busy and fast-paced Level II Trauma Center serving a 500-mile radius with stroke accreditation and 800 inpatient beds.
