Job Details:

* Day shift hours from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
* 4 rotating 10-hour shifts per week
* 2 weekends per month required, consisting of 12-hour on-call shifts (Saturday and Sunday count as 1 weekend)
* One night on-call shift required per week
* May float to other units within surgical services
* EMR system used: EPIC
* Dress code: Graphite Gray Scrubs
* Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served
* Obtain and record initial assessments and establish priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
* Reassess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring intervention
* Develop and implement individualized, measurable plans of care within established nursing standards
* Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of facts and patient outcome evaluations
* Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
* Implement and document timely interventions appropriate to patient needs
* Perform various Point of Care testing procedures
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
* Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required
* Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program required
