RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend required
* Day shift hours: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
* Night shift hours: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
* Weekend and holiday requirements vary
* No call or standby requirement
* Float pool position requiring rotation between med/surg and telemetry units
* 1 day of orientation per unit
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1 to 5:1
* 38-bed unit
* Commonly treat patients with ETOH, DKA, heart failure, sepsis, stroke, GI surgery, GU surgery, and joint replacements
* Required to titrate drips including insulin, heparin, amiodarone, and cardizem
* Required to read own telemetry strips; GE monitors in use
* Monitor techs available on unit
* Charge nurses or nursing shift managers do not take patient assignments
* Unit aides available with varying ratios
* Equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
* Charting system: Cerner
* Navy scrubs required
* Acute care setting
* Minimum 2 years of experience in telemetry or stepdown required
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
