Opportunity:

Gastroenterology - Locum Tenens Coverage

Job Details:

* 6-month assignment covering a gap in GI physician coverage
* Both inpatient and outpatient setting
* 253-bed inpatient facility
* 24-hour call/hospitalist shifts required for both weekdays and weekends
* Responsibilities include rounding, consults, and inpatient/outpatient GI procedures
* Clinic sees an average of 16 patients per day; outpatient endoscopy center sees 14-16 patients per day
* Adult patient population (18+)
* Will not work solo - other GI MDs are part of the practice
* Required procedures include gastroenterology procedures and ERCP
* ERCP maintenance requirement: minimum 50 successful ERCP procedures within the past 2 years
* If maintenance criteria is not met, physician must be proctored for remaining cases
* Applicant must provide documentation of gastroenterology services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 months
* Board certified in Gastroenterology required
* ACLS certification required (must be from American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
* Washington state license preferred; IMLC accepted
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* EPIC EMR experience preferred
* Provation GI software experience preferred
