Cardiology (Specifically EP)

Job Details:

* MD/DO provider type required
* 1.0 FTE position with 8-hour daily shifts
* 6-month assignment with potential to extend for 3 months
* Schedule consists of 3-4 days of clinic per week followed by adjacent weekend call 1-2 times per month
* Weekend EP call coverage from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM required
* Coverage expected for approximately 2 weeks per month
* EP lab days may be added for the right candidate
* Both inpatient and outpatient setting; 388-bed facility
* Weekend call includes telephone call after 5:00 PM, rounding, and inpatient pacemaker implantation Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (approximately 5 hours per day)
* Rounding and admissions both required
* Patient demographics primarily geriatric and 50 years of age and older
* Average of 3-4 patients per day
* Required procedures include inpatient pacemaker implantation and DCCV Cardioversion
* Applicant must demonstrate active cardiology practice with at least 100 inpatients in the past 24 months in an accredited hospital or healthcare facility, or successful completion of a hospital-affiliated accredited residency, special clinical fellowship, or research within the past 24 months
* For EP privileges: documentation of a minimum of 30 electrophysiology cases in the previous 24 months required; if ablation privileges are requested, a minimum of 30 ablation cases in the previous year must be included
* Interventional and General Cardiology will also be on call on weekends
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and Board Certification in Cardiac Electrophysiology
* EMR system: Epic (charting system experience required)
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
