Job Details:
* Evening shift from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM
* On-call required: Weekday call of 16 hours every 4 weeks and weekend call of 24 hours every 4 weeks
* Standby shifts structured in 4-hour or 8-hour blocks on weeknights and 12-hour standby shifts on weekends
* Weekend shifts required in lieu of weekday shifts as needed for department needs
* Block schedules not required
* Will not float between units
* Patient ratio of 1:1
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrub color: Any color
* Parking provided at no fee
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; at least 1 year required per contract terms
* Travel experience required
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Must be certified as a surgical technologist or military trained
* Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA, ASATT
* Must have broad knowledge of surgical equipment including Intuitive Surgical Systems XI & SI
* Work in an Adult Acute Care Operating Room with a focus on advanced oncology surgical cases
* Specialties include Bariatrics, Ortho, Podiatry, Neuro, ENT, OMFS, GYN, General, Colorectal, Urology, Hepatobiliary, Plastics, Eye, Vascular, Thoracic, Organ Harvest, and Endovascular
* Adult surgical specialties not performed: Open Heart and Organ Transplant
* Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
* Daily census of 60 patients with 21 operating rooms
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* Compact license must be in hand at submission

This short-term acute care facility operates 418 staffed beds and houses 21 operating rooms with a daily surgical census of 60 patients. The facility specializes in advanced oncology surgical cases and supports a broad range of adult surgical specialties. The operating rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology including Intuitive Surgical Systems XI & SI, supporting complex procedures across numerous surgical disciplines.
