Open Position: Dietitian - Registered Dietician

Opportunity:

Clinical Dietitian

Job Details:

* Day shift position working 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
* Must be able to function as an acute inpatient clinical dietitian independently
* Extensive experience working with Parenteral Nutrition required
* Experience in all clinical areas required with ability to pass competencies within the first few days
* Floating required as needed throughout the Kern County Network
* EPIC experience required
* Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and reassessments of patients to determine those at nutritional risk
* Develop and implement individualized nutritional plans of care, including appropriate meal patterns, monitoring nutritional intake, and initiating appropriate interventions
* Provide nutritional education to patients, family members, and healthcare team personnel
* Document all interventions in accordance with policy and acceptable practice standards
* Administer medical nutrition therapy in a safe and accurate manner
* Communicate interdisciplinary care needs and collaborate with the healthcare team
* Orient and instruct new professional and ancillary personnel on clinical activities
* Bachelor's Degree in food and nutrition or equivalent required
* Master's Degree required if eligibility for examination began on or after 1/1/24
* Dietetic internship or equivalent required
* Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required within 6 months of completion of residency program
* Minimum two years of recent experience as a Clinical Dietitian preferred
* Current BLS certification required
