Open Position: RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2236.72

Opportunity:

RN - Ortho/Tele

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 36 hours per week guaranteed
* Every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule required
* Holiday shifts required as part of rotating holiday schedule
* Unit operates with a 1:5-6 patient ratio
* 3 CNAs per shift with a 1:7-8 aide ratio
* Charge nurse available 24/7
* Must have strong orthopedic experience including Total Joint Replacement (not just fractures)
* Common diagnoses include orthopedic joints, replacements, and fractures
* Telemetry monitoring on unit; RNs are not required to read strips
* RNs are not required to titrate drips
* RT and equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow used as needed
* May float to units 7E, 7W, 10W, and 10E
* Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
* Required certification: BLS
* BSN not required
* Acute care setting at a Level 1 Trauma facility

Facility:

This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center offering a wide range of acute care services across multiple specialized units. The orthopedic and telemetry unit consists of 22 total beds and is supported by a dedicated charge nurse around the clock, ensuring consistent leadership and patient care standards. The facility utilizes EPIC as its charting system and maintains a well-structured team environment with CNAs supporting nursing staff on every shift.
