Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts, primarily, with rotating 8- and 12-hour shifts
* Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
* Will consider weekend or straight night status
* Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience required
* Level 1 trauma and ICU experience required; ER experience preferred
* Experience working in a facility with 300+ beds required
* RRT (NBRC) certification preferred; CRT considered
* ACLS (AHA) and PALS (AHA) preferred
* BLS (AHA) required
* North Dakota state license (NDSBRC) required or must be willing to apply within 72 hours of offer acceptance
* Perform respiratory therapy assessments and protocols, arterial punctures, and blood gas analysis
* Manage ventilator and non-invasive ventilation (NIV) therapy, medication delivery, and airway clearance
* Assist with intubations, bedside tracheostomy placement, bedside bronchoscopy, tracheostomy changes and decannulation, and extubations
* Participate in emergency response teams, ICU rounds, and patient intrahospital transport
* Equipment utilized includes: Epic EMR, Omnicell medication cabinet, Hamilton G5 & C1, V60, Airvo, Philips CoughAssist, Synclara Cough Device, Volara, Vest, ResMed AutoPAPs, Radiometer ABL90 Flex, Aerogen, Nitric Oxide, 3100B HFOV, B Braun Syringe Pump, patient home vents (Trilogy, Astral, Vivo), and Zebra mobile phones
* May float to other campuses as needed
* Opportunity to pick up extra shifts available
* Interest in Adult/NICU or Adult/PICU rotation is a plus
* Scrub color: Steel Gray
* Must badge in and out at the facility

Facility:

This large acute care health system operates multiple campuses and serves as a Level 1 trauma center, providing a wide range of specialized medical services. The main campus features over 394 beds including adult ICU, intermediate ICU, general floor, emergency, NICU, pediatric ICU, pediatrics, and family birth center units, along with OR and PACU services. Additional campuses offer medical-surgical, ICU, orthopedic, rehabilitation, and psychiatric care. The respiratory therapy department utilizes a minute-based assignment system integrated with the Epic EMR and maintains a robust team of therapists across all campuses, ensuring comprehensive cardiopulmonary care for patients.
