Open Position: RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details:

* Work night shifts on a 22-bed Orthopedic/Telemetry unit
* Weekend shifts required every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule (Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM)
* Holiday rotation participation required
* Patient ratios of 1:5-6 with 3 CNAs per shift
* Strong orthopedic experience required with Total Joint Replacement experience (not just fractures)
* Common diagnoses include orthopedic joints, replacements, and fractures
* Telemetry monitoring present on unit; RNs are not required to read strips
* RNs are not required to titrate drips
* Charge Nurse available 24/7
* Respiratory therapy and equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow) used as needed
* Floating may be required to units 7E, 7W, 10W, and 10E
* 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
* Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
* Charting system: EPIC
* BSN not required
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Required certification: BLS

This acute care facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center offering comprehensive inpatient services across multiple specialized units. The orthopedic and telemetry unit provides high-quality care for patients undergoing joint replacements, fracture management, and other orthopedic procedures. The facility maintains around-the-clock charge nurse coverage and supports a collaborative care model with nursing aides and respiratory therapy services available to support patient needs.
