Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg Oncology

Job Details:

* Every other weekend required
* Willing to float to other units including additional Med/Surg Telemetry and COVID unit
* 2 years of Med/Surg Oncology experience required
* Travel experience required
* NJ or Compact RN License required
* BLS certification required
* Meditech EMR experience preferred
* Must pass Basic Arrhythmia Exam with a minimum score of 80% - no retakes permitted
* Proficiency in systematic EKG rhythm interpretation, heart rate calculations, and identification of atrial, ventricular, junctional, paced rhythms, and heart blocks required
* Experience with accessing and managing ports required
* Experience with administration of blood and blood products required
* Central line and implanted line care experience required
* PICC line care experience required
* IV skills including starting and maintaining IVs required
* Inpatient oncology experience required
* Experience with end of life care required
* Pain management experience required
* Remote telemetry experience required
* Chemotherapy administration not required
* Unit serves adult patients with a daily census of 28 beds

This healthcare facility operates a Med/Surg Oncology unit with a 28-bed capacity, providing comprehensive inpatient care for adult oncology and telemetry patients. The unit is supported by interdisciplinary teams and utilizes remote telemetry monitoring. The facility maintains high clinical standards, including required competency testing for arrhythmia recognition, and provides a well-equipped environment for specialized oncology and medical-surgical nursing care.
