Opportunity:

RN - Med-Surg/Oncology

Job Details:

* 48 hours guaranteed per week preferred
* Located on 6th Floor Med-Surg/Oncology unit in the Main Hospital building
* Unit has 36 beds with a 1:6 patient ratio
* Day-to-day staffing includes Clinical Care Coordinators, RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries
* Care for Med-Surg/Oncology/Hospice patients as well as hemodynamically stable patients requiring cardiac monitoring with no interventions
* Required to work every third weekend with no on-call responsibilities
* Float to Med-Surg and Telemetry units as needed (Med-Surg level patients)
* Documentation system: Meditech
* Equipment used includes I-med, I-mobile, Neurons vitals machine, Glucometer, PCA, Wound Vac, Chest Tubes, and Surgical Drains
* Typical procedures include wound vac changes, drain removal, IV/PICC line management, Foley insertion/removal, and NG insertion/removal
* Required certification: BLS
* Nurses are required to wear Pewter (gray) scrubs
* Must be team-oriented with a positive attitude, patient-centered approach, and willingness to stay busy
