Opportunity:
Medical Assistant - OBGYN
Job Details:
* 8-hour shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
* No weekend requirements
* Floating required as needed between Beverly Hills, Los Feliz, and Playa Vista locations
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated
* Minimum 2 years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting required
* Minimum 1 year of OBGYN experience required (hard stop)
* Venipuncture experience required (hard stop)
* Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP accredited program required
* BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only)
* High school diploma or GED required
* Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Secondary OBGYN questionnaire required at time of submission
* 2 supervisor references from within the past year required at time of submission
* Responsibilities include rooming patients, blood and specimen collection, vital signs, and patient histories
* Administer medications, perform immunizations, and conduct OB/GYN procedures including PAP, Colpo, LEEP, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions and removals, Nexplanon, and NST
* Conduct telephone triage, follow-up phone calls, and patient history documentation
* Address patient, physician, and staff concerns and escalate accordingly
* Participate in daily huddles and staff meetings
* Adhere to all infection prevention standards, department policies, and guidelines
* Monitor workflow to identify opportunities for improvement
Facility:
This outpatient OBGYN office is home to approximately 20 providers and specializes in women's reproductive health. The facility offers a comprehensive range of services including women's health care, OB visits, GYN consults, and OB/GYN procedures. The practice is committed to delivering high-quality care to its patient population and maintains a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
