Opportunity:

MA - Outpatient Urology / Women's Health

Job Details:

* 5x8 shift schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
* No weekend requirements
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated
* Position is primarily responsible for PSR/Front End duties and will cover MA/LVN breaks
* Minimum 3 years of experience required with at least 2 years in an outpatient setting
* Experience in Urology or Women's Health required
* Medical Assistant Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program required
* Required certification: BLS (AHA or ARC only), CMA
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Epic EMR proficiency required
* Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture required
* Patient check-in, insurance verification, and referrals experience required
* Assists with in-office procedures including urinary catheter placement, cystoscopies, and removing bandages or stitches
* Knowledge of urological procedures such as cystoscopy and urodynamics required
* Knowledge of sterile techniques to prepare surgical sites and assist with drapes required
* Patients served include adults and geriatric populations
* Phlebotomy interdisciplinary support available
* 2 supervisory references from within the past 1 year of employment required at time of submission

This outpatient medical facility specializes in urology and women's health services, providing comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patient populations. The facility is equipped to support a range of in-office procedures including cystoscopies and urodynamic testing, and maintains high standards of sterile technique and patient care. Staff benefit from an interdisciplinary team environment with phlebotomy support and work within a well-organized clinic setting using the Epic electronic medical records system.
