RN - L&D

Job Details:

* Day shift schedule
* Every other weekend required
* Rotate through L&D, circulator, baby RN, triage, and high-risk antepartum/postpartum
* No on-call required
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated - traveler must be flexible
* Minimum of 6 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) per contract
* Patient ratio of 2:1 on days and nights
* Daily census of 15-20 patients
* 22 L&D rooms, 4 ORs, 3 PACU, 4 triage, and 12 MFCU (high-risk antepartum) beds
* Patients include women ages 13-60 across neonatal, adolescent, and adult age groups
* Perform and assist with vaginal deliveries, high-risk C-sections, D&C, and IUPC/FSE placement and monitoring
* Experience with high-risk antepartum and teaching hospital required
* Charting system: Epic (preferred)
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Special equipment: Cysto tower operations
* 2 years of L&D RN experience required (first-time travelers must have minimum 3 years L&D RN experience)
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP
* Active California nursing license required at time of submission - no pending or temporary licenses accepted
* 2 supervisor or higher references from within the past year required at time of submission
* Flu vaccination required with no exemptions

Facility:

This facility is a large, high-volume teaching hospital delivering over 300 births per month and offering advanced labor and delivery services. The unit supports a wide range of complex obstetric procedures including high-risk vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and antepartum care. Interdisciplinary support is available through IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretarial staff.
